Disneyland is gearing up to celebrate its 70th anniversary next year.
Kicking off on May 16, 2025, celebrations at the "Happiest Place on Earth" will be running through the summer of 2026 and will be complete with special décor, food and beverages, limited-time entertainment, and more.
To help Disney fans start planning, the park is offering up to 30 percent off on select hotel stays of four nights or longer at Disneyland Resort hotels from May 16 to Sept. 26. Additionally, the park is also offering $50 kid tickets and a Southern California resident ticket which offers theme park visits for as low as $67 per day.
Park goers can also look forward to a new nighttime show, “World of Color Happiness,” that will debut at Disney California Adventure Park and enjoy the return of several fan-favorite entertainment offerings, including “Paint the Night” parade with more than one million LED lights, “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular, and “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!”
Additionally, Mickey, Minnie, and friends will appear in new anniversary outfits while the entire park will be given a festive makeover, including the addition of a medallion on Sleeping Beauty Castle. A new character cavalcade and new projection show on the facade of “It’s a Small World” will also debut.
The kickoff date will also mark the debut of a new attraction, “Walt Disney — A Magical Life,” in the iconic Main Street Opera House theater at Disneyland Park. A first of its kind, it will “feature a cinematic presentation of Walt Disney’s journey, culminating in a visit with Walt in his office.” The show will incorporate the very first Audio-Animatronic of Walt Disney created by Walt Disney Imagineering.
The previously announced Avengers Campus expansion will begin construction in 2025.
The announcement also revealed the 2025 calendar of returning festivals, events, and after hour events. This includes highly popular seasonal offerings, like Halloween Time and Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, Season of the Force, food festivals, and more. Popular after-hours events, like Disneyland After Dark and Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party, will also make a return in the new year with more dates offered than ever before.
2025 is a better time than ever to plan a Disneyland vacation with a number of new and reimagined experiences during an “era of incredible growth,” including the recent opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Pixar Place Hotel, and the transformation of Downtown Disney.
