American Express will open one of its signature Centurion Lounges at Salt Lake City’s airport next year, marking the latest expansion of the luxurious airport lounges.

The nearly 16,000-square-foot lounge will open inside the new Concourse B at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) in 2025 as part of the airport’s redevelopment program, according to American Express. This will be the first Centurion Lounge at Salt Lake City.

“American Express has strong roots in the Salt Lake City community. It’s home to many of our colleagues and Card Members and a popular vacation destination for US and global Card Members,” Audrey Hendley, the president of American Express Travel, said in a statement. “The new Centurion Lounge will give eligible Card Members a taste of what this beautiful destination has to offer and feature premium amenities for all types of travelers.”

Once open, the lounge will feature a full bar and full-service coffee bar with rotating seasonal specialty coffee drinks from a local roaster, tons of seating from armchairs to dining banquettes, and a dedicated wellness room. The lounge will also boast a year-round outdoor terrace with views over the Wasatch Mountains.

In addition, the lounge will feature amenities like a shower suite, a dedicated family restroom with a private area for nursing parents, private phone or meeting rooms, and more.

Currently, Salt Lake City only features a Delta Air Lines Delta Sky Club and Minute Suites for lounge options.

American Express has opened several new lounges this year, including at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). In total, there are 30 Centurion Lounges around the world.

Travelers can access American Express’ Centurion Lounges for free with several credit cards, including the American Express Platinum Card, Business Platinum Card, Corporate Platinum Card, and the company’s most exclusive card, the Centurion card.
