Low-cost carrier Allegiant Air is launching a massive expansion with 44 new routes for next year, including to three new cities.
The new routes will launch in February, matching the record for the largest expansion in the company’s history, according to Allegiant. Included in the new routes is service to three brand-new cities: Gulf Shores, Alabama; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Columbia, South Carolina.
Allegiant said the expansion is “driven by robust leisure demand” and focuses on “underserved communities with limited or no air service.”
"We're excited to announce that Allegiant is expanding nationwide, offering even more travel options to our customers," Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer, said in a statement. "These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to meet customer demand. By connecting more cities, we're making it easier for travelers to visit family and friends, access top leisure destinations, and create new memories.
“Our research shows that customers increasingly want affordability and convenience when they fly,” Wells added. “Our low-cost fares and nonstop flights make Allegiant a top choice for leisure travelers."
To start, Allegiant will launch service between Phoenix and Pittsburgh beginning Feb. 7, 2025. Later that month, the carrier will launch service between its new city of Colorado Springs and the Phoenix area, Orange County, California, and the Tampa area in Florida.
Allegiant will then continue to add dozens of new flights from February to June 2025, including new routes between its new city of Columbia and both Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale; as well as between its new destination of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and six different airports from Tennessee to Kansas City, and beyond.
To celebrate the new routes, Allegiant is putting flights on sale starting at just $39 one-way. To take advantage, travelers must book by today, Nov. 20, and fly by July 25, 2025.
Allegiant, which is one of the most affordable airlines in the United States and one of the best low-cost airlines in North America, is based in Las Vegas and offers bare-bones tickets, charging for everything from carry-on baggage to water on the flight.
