Low-cost Icelandic airline Play is tempting travelers to take a big European vacation for winter with 20 percent off flights.

The airline’s “Cuffing Season” sale must be booked by Oct. 16 for travel throughout the fall and winter, the carrier shared with Travel + Leisure

The promotion is valid for travel from Oct. 22 to Oct. 27, on Oct. 29, from Nov. 12 to Dec. 15, and from Jan. 8 to March 31, 2025. Customers can save on trips to Iceland, London, Amsterdam, Dublin, Copenhagen, Liverpool, or Paris.

“Whether you dream of strolling through Paris or chasing the northern lights in Iceland, now is the time to make it happen,” the airline wrote as part of the promotion.

To take advantage, travelers can fly from three of Play’s gateway airports in the United States: Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), New York’s Stewart International Airport (SWF), or Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). The airline also flies to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) as well as to Toronto in Canada.

The promotional fare includes all mandatory taxes, fees, and carrier charges.

Beyond the sale, travelers can enter to win a romantic trip for two to any of Play’s European destinations when they sign up for the company’s newsletter. Play will randomly select a winner on Oct. 16 and “notify the lucky winning couple.”

Play first started flying in Europe in 2021 before launching its first flight from the U.S. the next year. The airline operates a "hub-and-spoke model" in which all flights connect through Reykjavik before heading on to other destinations across Europe, and flies an Airbus fleet, including the A321neo and A320neo aircraft.

As a low-cost airline, Play charges per flight leg for everything from checked bags to food and drinks. Checked bags, for example, start at $80 per flight leg, while a carry-on bag and priority boarding starts at $67 per flight leg.
