Frontier Airlines is giving away thousands of bonus miles to customers who fly before the end of the year, incentivising travelers to take a last big 2024 trip.

As part of the offer, customers who book by Oct. 8 and travel on a roundtrip flight before the end of the year will then earn 10,000 bonus travel miles, according to Frontier. The airline said those bonus miles are enough to cover a one-way flight to cities across the United States.

“We are inviting everyone to enjoy a free flight on us,” Tyri Squyres, the vice president of marketing for Frontier Airlines, said in a statement. “Whether you are a loyal Frontier fan or have never flown with us, this [is] an exceptional opportunity to experience the affordability, comfort and convenience of Frontier’s ‘Low Fares Done Right.’ As consumers plan their fall and winter travel, flying an ultra-low cost carrier is the way to go for the best value in air travel.”

To be eligible for the promotion, travelers must first opt-in by entering their name and Frontier miles account number online. New Frontier miles members must register for their free account at least 24 hours before departure to qualify.

Bonus miles will then be deposited into travelers’ accounts within seven business days of their completed travel.

Frontier is an ultra-low cost carrier and charges for all extras from seat assignments to baggage allowance. However, the airline recently started offering more inclusive fares like its new economic business class, called BizFare, and its “UpFront Plus” option, which allows travelers to purchase seats in the first two rows with a blocked middle seat.

Earlier this year, Frontier also eliminated nearly all change and cancellation fees.

The bonus miles promotion comes on the heels of Frontier’s decision to celebrate older travelers by offering passengers 55 years old and older a 55 percent discount. That deal expired on Oct. 6.
