Summer travel planning just got easier.

Delta Air Lines announced their summer 2025 travel schedule with new or increased service to popular destinations from Barcelona to Naples.

The airline will operate its "largest-ever" summer schedule, with 700 weekly flights. Delta will begin new service to Catania, Sicily in Italy, as well as new routes to Barcelona, Dublin, Naples, Rome, the airline shared in an announcement.

With a high level of passengers from the United States traveling to Italy, Delta will be increasing its seat availability by 10 percent with more weekly flights to Milan, Naples, and Rome. These will include four weekly flights from Atlanta to Naples, as well as four new weekly flights from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Rome in May 2025. The airline will also begin new service from New York's JFK Airport to Catania, Italy. Delta says they are the first-ever U.S. airline to offer direct service to this destination.

The airline is also increasing flights to other spots across Europe, including three new weekly flights to Barcelona, Spain from Boston, as well as to Brussels, Belgium from Atlanta. The airline will also begin service four times a week from Detroit to Dublin, Ireland. Tickets for all of the summer flights will be available for purchase starting September 21, 2024.

“We’ve also recently opened a stunning Delta One Lounge at JFK, with more to come at LAX, BOS, and SEA. Alongside the rollout of free international Wi-Fi and increased premium seating across our fleet, we’re ensuring our customers enjoy the best in connectivity and comfort from the moment they arrive at the airport to when they touch down,”  Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning Joe Esposito shared in a statement to Travel + Leisure.

Delta's announcement comes as other airlines have begun revealing their summer travel schedule plans. For example, American Airlines recently began selling tickets for summer 2025 travel including additional routes to Rome or Madrid. British Airways also announced a revised schedule with new flights to London from Austin and Miami.
